A cap will not only keep animals and weather from getting into your chimney, they also provide great protection that will pay for itself down the road! Masonry chimneys are designed with what is called a "crown" on top. It is a cement top that is poured over the masonry housing around the flue tiles. However, due to exposure to the elements, this crown begins deteriorating over time, and just like the roadways, it will eventually crack apart. It can potentially crack to the point that it is channeling water down the interior housing of the chimney and into your home! Our chimney caps will cover the primary portion of your chimney's crown, and shed water around the chimney rather than on top of it. You will need to know how many flues are exhausted at the top of your chimney, and we can provide a cap to fit. We also can provide custom chimney caps!
